Nathan Raper is a highly skilled IT professional with over 20 years of experience designing, engineering, administering, and supporting physical and virtual infrastructures. He has held roles as customer end-user and as consultant, participating in all phases of engagement—sales, design, engineering, implementation, training, and support. Nate is a proven leader with the ability to motivate and inspire others and has extensive experience providing project management and consulting services.
Following roles with customers, a global distributor and a VMware/EMC/Cisco partner, Nate is currently Director of the Livefire team. Leading a global group of Solutions Architects, his team is focused on building competency and expertise around designing and delivering VMware-based NSX and software-defined datacenter (SDDC) solutions for VMware’s internal and partner-based consultants. Under his leadership, the NSX Livefire team maintains outstanding marks for customer satisfaction, including an average Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 90 for 2018.
Nate holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from Regis University in Information Technology Management; he is VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) #85; he has spoken at VMworld and numerous other internal and customer events; and he is the co-author of the VCP-Cloud Official Cert Guide (2014) from VMware Press.
Nate lives in Colorado with his extraordinarily patient wife and his three children, and enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, woodworking, playing guitar, and studies in leadership.
