Karel started his IT career in 2002 in Alliance Healthcare as IT Technician. Here stayed for 12 years and changed positions from IT Technician to Administrator of operating systems and finally as a System Engineer Virtual Infrastructure. In Alliance Healthcare started his love of VMware products and started to migrate workloads to the Virtual world and gather data center virtualization experience. During his last year in this position, he helped with a data center in the UK. In 2014 came the opportunity to move from his comfort zone and join Arrow ECS Czech Republic as a Senior Virtual Infrastructure Engineer. Here he stayed 7 years and started his career as a VMware Certified Instructor – Level2 and VMware&Veeam Consultant, and Veeam Certified Trainer. He delivered classes vSphere DCV, NSX-V, NSX-T, Tanzu, and Veeam classes. He achieved during this time Award Veeam Certified Trainer of the Year 2019 EMEA. He started working together with the VMware Certification team as an SME for DCV, and NSX and helped develop a lot of exams. He also helped with developing the official NSX class as a reviewer. Still continues in these activities. -) Karel started to love working with people and the community and sharing knowledge. He helped to develop the VMware User Group and Veeam User Group in the Czech Republic and Slovakia as a Leader.
2021 was an opportunity for Karel again move from his comfort zone and join VMware as a Senior Consultant NSX in the PS team. He helped customers, and partners with NSX, VCF, and vRNI projects in EMEA. Karel recently joined the Livefire team where he will assist in developing and teaching VCN-related classes.
